Enclosed please find the resignation of Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Haj Shaykh Lutfullah Safi from the membership of the Guardian Council which was read in the session of the Guardian Council date 22/7/1360 AHS and not withdrawn after one week by him. So according to article 7 of the internal procedure of the Guardian Council this resignation letter is submitted to you to make the necessary decision.
I wish the great God to grant longevity to that great leader and final victory to the Islamic Revolution under the aegis of your Excellency's prudent leadership.
